Some of my favorite ring shots are on the Wedding Yentas blog!  I’d love it if you’d check it out. If you’re a Jewish bride needing inspiration, this is the resource for you!

Jim and Jocelyn- A Camp Kiwi Wedding

I’m not a big writer but I feel like I owe it to Jim and Jocelyn to explain just how freggin awesome their wedding was and overall, how amazing their relationship and the love that they have for their families is.

Their wedding took place at camp kiwi and featured a pig roast by fire roasted catering.

Their rings were made from elements of past relative’s rings.

Jocelyn having a quiet moment before seeing Jim.

I can’t fully describe how happy they were to get their wedding day started. So, I hope the pictures communicate that:)

Jocelyn’s very rad shoes.

Jocelyn and her very lovely mom.

Cute as a button!!

Here is the amazing part- Jim and Jocelyn felt that they were in charge of their love, so they married each other. They also wanted me to stay back during their ceremony and it seems counter intuitive but I respected this so much.

Synchronized fountain explosion!

This is such an awesome way to display seating numbers!!  They had them hanging all around the front of the tent.

Red velvet cupcakes… ok, I had one. I normally don’t have dessert at weddings, but let me tell you- THESE WERE OUTRAGEOUSLY DELICIOUS.I

I felt like every person at this wedding was artful in someway and I really love this late night capture.

Party time!!

Jim and Jocelyn had custom rub on tattoos! SO cool.

Holy Ghost Tent Revival, wowwowowowow. Jocelyn is a singer and rocked along with them for a while. I was blown away.

THANK YOU Jocelyn and Jim for having me as your photographer! I will never, ever forget your day.  And thank you to Meredith, Jim’s best friend, for recommending me. She is the awesomest of awesome.

Jim & Jocelyn- More soon!

Engagement Session: Alicia & Joe

I know I don’t write much, but I LOVED this engagement session. We were able to touch on both Alicia and Joe’s interests, while still conveying the strong love they have for one another. I had an amazing time and I loved using the light both indoors and out.

Ana + Eliezer : Dominican Republic Wedding

I photographed the wedding of my dear cousin Ana in the Dominican Republic last week. It wasn’t a destination wedding, as my family is native to the island. I was so happy to introduce Kent to my family there and I am so glad that Eliezer and Ana had me as their wedding photographer.

Paul’s letter to the Corinthians:

The photo on the dresser is of Ana’s mom, my Aunt, Rosa. She passed away some years ago. It was very important to Ana to have her mom’s presence there, with her, on her wedding day.

My cousins Elis and Raquel, helping Ana to get ready.

Ana’s Aunts- so graceful, the three of them. Like swans.

The church in Santo Domingo.

My Aunt, who is Ana’s Grandmother and like my Grandmother too.

Ana cried so much during the days leading up to the wedding- but surprise, surprise- Eliezer was the one to cry the most.

Ana listening to Eliezer’s vows.

The happiest couple I’ve ever seen.

Typical Dominican music played towards the end of the reception. No first dances or dances at all, the denomination I grew up with doesn’t dance.

My son:)

Because of logistics, the portraits happened at night. Ana is just stunning.

The girls. 6 cousins of mine in there.

I wish you both many years of happiness.

Love,

Chelo
